Rainbows Never Lie...

Driving down a lonely road on a cold and rainy day,
I can see a rainbow but it's still too far away.
I try to find the end of it but just when I get near,
The colors fade before my eyes and the rainbow disappears.

Isn't that the way life is when things are going great?
They say good things come to those who aren't afraid to wait.
Anticipation eats you up but you take it all in stride,
And you are left with an empty feeling way down deep inside.

And rainbows don't exist they're just colors in the sky,
You can never touch one but still they catch your eye.
So when one comes along don't let it pass you by,
You can still believe in love, because rainbow's never lie.

There are lots of women who can break my heart in two,
But since I wear it on my sleeve that's not so hard to do.
They can often slow my pulse but please don't think I'm gone,
They can never stop my heart the beat goes on and on.

Love is funny, when you think you've got it figured out,
Then another storm blows in and leaves you full of doubt.
But when the clouds have disappeared a rainbow's up above,
Another stormy day is gone and you still believe in love.

And rainbows don't exist they're just colors in the sky,
You can never touch one but still they catch your eye.
So when love comes along don't let it pass you by,
You can still believe in love, because rainbow's never lie.
