Sun City Smiles...

Well she called me up just the other day
She said she was sorry it ended that way
She told me she missed all the fun that we had
She was missing my smile ‘cause her love’s gone bad

Well I had to tell her that I moved away
I had to tell her that I just couldn’t stay
She tried to tell me how she’s feelin’ so sad
She tried to say her husband’s drivin’ her mad

Could we go out for a bite to eat?
Could you sweep me again right off my feet?
Can you tell me a story from a long time ago?
And then can you say you don’t want me to go?

But I’ve moved away and I know I’ve moved on
I couldn’t pretend that our love wasn’t gone
I found me a smile and a brand new start
Sun City smiles put romance in my heart

Sun City smiles, we can laugh in the rain
Sun City smiles, we can live with the pain
If I never come back will you still be a friend
It’s those Sun City smiles
That are callin’ my name again.

Now I’ve got me a house that I bought in the fall
I’ve got pictures of life that I hang on the wall
I’ve lived in a house but it wasn’t a home
And I lived in a place that just wasn’t my own

So if I forget all the times that I cried
Don’t worry for me I don’t hurt deep inside
I never have felt that I gave love a chance
‘Til Sun City smiles filled my heart with romance

Sun City smiles, we can laugh in the rain
Sun City smiles, we can live with the pain
If I never come back will you still be a friend
It’s those Sun City smiles
That are callin’ my name again.
