We Will Stand Tall... | |
When I woke up in the morning, I couldn't
believe my eyes, Someone attacked our eastern shores, and smoke has filled the skies. Before the day was over, we'd watch tall buildings fall, But you can't break down our pride like that, forever we'll stand tall. People who had the courage, to help those trapped inside, Knew that they might lose their lives, as America watched and cried. But these tears that we have shed, don't bring this to an end, If you think that we'll back down from you, you'd better think again. Through the ashes we've been breathing, and the fires that have burned, For the lives that have been lost, there's a lesson to be learned. You can burn our flag and curse our lives, but don't attack our shores, Because when the smoke has cleared, the suffering will be yours. We have stood for strength and unity, we have helped when others cried, But now the tears belong to us, for the innocent who have died. Enjoy the life you live right now, because your time is growing short, You've broken down the walls we've built, and you've left us no resort.
